As part of the national ESD monitoring, in 2017 a formula for the ESD-indicator for teacher training (FESD) was developed and collected by the research team at the University of Education (see Waltner et al, 2018). A replication is now to be carried out to analyze how the indicators developed between 2017 and 2024 and how the federal states have pursued the further development of their ESD-related teacher training. Therefore, within the framework of the FESD Pro project, funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the collection of the ESD indicator for teacher training will be carried out again for the school year 2023/24. This ensures that progress and ongoing needs in the training offerings are not overlooked. The FESD Pro indicator thus makes a significant contribution to understanding the processes of ESD implementation and their successes.
