Rectorate

The University of Education Freiburg is managed by a rectorate (see § 16 LHG). It consists of:

• The rector as head of the rectorate,
• the chancellor as the full-time member of the rectorate for economic and personnel administration and permanent representative of the rector,
• the Prorector for Teaching, Studies and Quality Development,
• the Prorector for Research and Young Talent Development and
• the Prorector for Transfer, Further Education and Digitalisation.

The Rectorate is responsible, among other things, for structural and development planning, including personnel development, planning of structural development and the preparation and implementation of the economic plan. In addition, the Rectorate implements the resolutions of the Senate and the University Council.
