Schauinsland barrier-free
Project participants: Prof. Dr. Gregor C. Falk, Dr. Anna Chatel, Monika Nethe
The WG "Physical Geography and Sustainability" at the Institute of Geography and Geography Education, together with the Black Forest Biosphere Reserve and the Esther Weber School (Special Education and Advisory Centre) realised the conception and implementation of the project "Schauinsland barrier-free" and would like to make a contribution to quality-driven, digital, inclusive, interpretive and barrier-free tourism on the Schauinsland.
The first realisation of the concept is an app developed through co-creation. It provides practical information on the one hand and interesting content at 9 locations on the other, using multi-perspective approaches. With a gamification element in the style of Pokémon-GO, the user can display plants and animals in their respective habitats using the augmented reality function and learn interesting special features; in addition, they can "collect" the species and win points in the process.
