Ko-divers

Implemented in collaboration with TU Darmstadt and TU Braunschweig, the "Ko-divers" project uses a design-based research approach to develop an evaluation-based, effective, and diversity-sensitive instructional concept for cooperative learning. This is carried out through research-practice partnerships between researchers, primary schools designated as inclusive, and educational administrations across three federal states.

CLIMS

The Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership project CLIMS (Content and Language Integrated Learning in Multilingual Settings – Professionalisation in Teacher Education) investigates and promotes the integration of language and content learning in multilingual classroom settings. It develops evidence-based digital teaching and learning resources for pre-service and in-service teachers as well as teacher educators and other educational multipliers to strengthen inclusive and diversity-responsive educational practices.

Moms@Science: Innovative and Successful Mothers in Science

The Moms@Science project focuses on innovative female scientists with children. It aims to raise awareness of the stories, challenges, work and achievements of successful and innovative mothers in science among a broad (specialist) audience.

Interpreter Mediated Deaf Education

The Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership project IDE investigates factors that facilitate or impede pupils’ participation and experiences of inclusion in primary school classrooms where interpreters mediate between German Sign Language and spoken German. The project develops evidence-based teaching and learning resources for deaf and hearing pupils, teachers, and interpreters to promote participation and inclusive educational experiences.

The Sozius project, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education, Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, investigates how adverse social relationship patterns and processes of exclusion in inclusive classrooms can be identified at an early stage and addressed through educational interventions. Together with teachers, the project develops and evaluates practical methods for assessing and strengthening social relationships in classrooms.

Research Support for the Startchancen Programme

The Mathematics Competence Centre supports the further development of mathematics teaching at schools participating in the Startchancen programme, as well as mathematics-related services provided by the federal states’ support systems, and provides a research-based foundation for this work. The Freiburg site focuses on developing, implementing, and evaluating modules on core competencies in statistics and financial mathematics.

Health Equity

The Cooperative Doctoral Programme in Health Equity is based at the University of Education Freiburg, the Protestant University of Applied Sciences Freiburg and the Catholic University of Applied Sciences Freiburg. It is funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts Baden-Württemberg.
