Interpreter mediated Deaf Education at Primary Schools

The Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership Project IDE examines the factors that contribute to, or hinder, the participation and inclusion of pupils in primary school classes with language mediation by interpreters of German Sign Language and spoken German. The project develops evidence-based teaching and learning materials for deaf and hearing pupils, teachers, and interpreters, with the aim of promoting an inclusive educational experience.

Parents' Orientation on Inclusion in Schools

The ParIS project, which is funded by Caritas International, aims to provide empirical evidence to support the introduction of inclusive education in Georgian and Armenian schools, as well as raising awareness of inclusive education within these societies. This phase involves researching the perspectives of parents of children with and without special educational needs in both inclusive and non-inclusive schools.

Service Learning on Sustainability in Textile and Fashion Education

The DAAD-funded TexUnite project promotes the key competencies required to achieve the SDGs by incorporating service learning into textile, clothing, and fashion programmes through project-based seminars. The Virtual Exchange method is employed to facilitate intercultural exchange between the six European partner universities.

International Graduate School GFL

This is an application-oriented and socially relevant doctoral programme that meets local needs and is based in the field of German studies/German as a foreign language. Contemporary topics are researched and taught using innovative methods. Students complete their doctorates at the partner university and the University of Education Freiburg (joint degree).

DataPro

DataPro's learning objectives are based on the question of how young people understand data protection. In particular, it aims to improve knowledge of the complexity of data use, develop an understanding of the 'value' of data and raise awareness of the importance of data protection as a fundamental right.

Acquisition of Critical Approach to Environmental issues in School Education

The main objective of this EU-funded project is to provide secondary school teachers with the tools needed to encourage critical environmental thinking among their pupils.

Integrating Primary and Pre-school Virtual Exchange Projects into Language Teacher Education

The Erasmus+ project INVITED aims to promote language and cultural learning in Virtual Exchange (VE) projects for primary and secondary school students. Teacher training and further education materials are being developed, and networking and exchange opportunities are being created via the eTwinning platform.

Eye Teach Stats

The collaborative EU project, 'Eye Teach Stats: Supporting Teachers to Diagnose and Deal with Students' Statistical Misinterpretations – Innovative Teacher Training with Eye-Tracking Vignettes', researches and develops the use of innovative eye-tracking vignettes in teacher training to address systematic misconceptions in the field of statistics.

The Monitoring and Evaluation of Climate Change Education

To date, there has been a lack of clear understanding of climate change education (CCE) worldwide. Furthermore, no global monitoring of CCE has yet been carried out. The aim of MECCE is to improve the quality and quantity of CCE worldwide in order to combat climate change effectively.

Perspectives for Lifelong STEM Teaching - Career Guidance, Collaborative Practice and Competence Development

The EU-funded 3C4Life project helps STEM teachers develop their teaching methods and skills using an online platform, and also provides information about career options.

ICSE Science Factory

The ICSE Science Factory is an EU-funded project that aims to establish a local network dedicated to improving science education for all citizens. To this end, it carries out activities on the topics of sustainability, health and digitalisation.

MINT4Life

Since 2020, the MINT cluster, funded by the BMBF and comprising partners from education, science and industry, has been bringing 3D design and 3D printing to life in schools and extracurricular education. To this end, it offers free workshops on 3D printing to teachers, school pupils, students and families.

Can You Escape?

The Can You Escape transfer project, which is funded by the Heidehof Foundation, aims to develop a maths and science escape game that will appeal to schoolchildren aged twelve and over. To this end, the project team is collaborating with experts in designing and constructing interactive exhibits, similar to those found in science centre exhibitions.
