You can contact the relevant offices at any time if you have experienced or observed discrimination or harassment at the university. The advice units and contact persons are also available to you if you need advice, e.g. due to parenthood or a chronic illness, or if you need special support during your studies or at work. You are welcome to arrange a confidential consultation.

If you have personal or study-related problems, you are not alone. Many students experience crises in the course of their studies. In such cases, it is good to have professional support to help you see the path ahead more clearly. Often a short conversation helps.
The Psychotherapeutic Counseling Service of the Studierendenwerk (PBS) is the right place of contact in such cases.The focus of the work is on counseling in the form of one-to-one sessions. Registration is required for this. There is also an open consultation hour once a week, which you can attend without making an appointment.
Counseling sessions are also available in English, French, Arabic, Chinese and Slovenian.
Of course, all consultations are subject to confidentiality.

AGG Complaints Office
In addition to the contact persons and counseling services listed here, there is a complaints office at the PH Freiburg in accordance with the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG). As part of a formal complaints procedure, the complaints office examines whether there is a violation of the prohibition of discrimination § 7 AGG, i.e. discrimination under the AGG. The AGG Complaints Office does not provide advice on discrimination matters. For a confidential consultation, you can first contact one of the counseling units listed above or one of the interest groups listed below.
Complaints relating to the provisions of the AGG must be sent to the central Equal Opportunities Officer Prof. Dr. Jennifer Stemmann and/or Chancellor Hendrik Büggeln.
