INVITED Talks is a series of events focused on Virtual Exchange (VE) in pre-primary and primary language classrooms, organized by the INVITED project - Integrating Primary and Pre-school Virtual Exchange Projects into Language Teacher Education (invited-project.eu).
The INVITED project — Integrating Primary and Pre-school Virtual Exchange Projects into Language Teacher Education, is a transnational initiative involving the University of Education in Germany, the University of Murcia in Spain, the University of Warsaw in Poland and the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia, as well as the collaboration of Strathclyde University in the UK.
Di 22.09.2026, 18 Uhr: “The 5 Global Cs in Classrooms”: Creativity, Collaboration, Communication, Citizenship and Change - Presenter: Maite Valencia
Maite Valencia is Principal of CEIP Nuestra Sehora de Belen (Murcia,Spain) and Collaboration Coach at JDO Foundation. She has a degree in Education (University of Murcia) and a Master's in Psychopedagogy (University of Murcia). She has been an English teacher since 2001 and has led CLIL and bilingual education projects since 2010. She has taught in bilingual schools in the United States (North Carolina) for two academic years and has worked as an Educational Advisor in the Region of Murcia. She is a trainer in Bilingual Education, an exam coach for teacher education opposition candidates, and an Erasmus coordinator. Maite is also a speaker at educational events in Spain (Murcia, Madrid, Albacete)and internationally (North Carolina, USA).
This session will showcase how the 5 Global Cs - Creativity, Collaboration, Communication, Citizenship and Change - can transform classrooms into spaces where students become thinkers, creators,communicators, responsible citizens and agents of positive change. Through real examples from international projects, we will explore how these competencies empower students to connect, act and make a difference in their local and global communities.
